GDI was founded by Kevin Swanson who has been coaching goaltenders in Calgary for over 20 years now. GDI now operates in arenas around the city providing 1-on-1 lessons, Academy Programs, Association Clinics, Xmas Camps, Summer Camps, Coaching Clinics and much more.

Kevin studied and worked under Ian Clark (current Vancouver Canucks Goalie Coach) for over 5 years to develop a logical and progressive curriculum of skills that is updated yearly as the position evolves.

The goaltending position is complex and has evolved immensely over the last 10+plus years and GDI continues to be the front- line of innovation and teaching within the goaltending community. As we know, the position of goal is critical to team success and, in most cases, provides the greatest single input to this team success.

 

With this in mind, it is vital that we provide a comprehensive development approach for their goaltenders.
